Henrik Dávid, angol iró, szül. Edinburgban 1795., megh. Londonban 1835 március 20. Előbb jogot tanult, később szépirodalommal foglalkozott s művei Conway Derwent álnév alatt jelentek meg. Jelesebbek: Tales of the Ardennes (1841); Solitary walks trough many lands (1843). Utirajzok: Tour trough Norvay Sweden and Denmark (1829, 4. kiad. 1837); Tour trough Switzerland, the sout of France and the Pyrenees (1830, 2 köt.); Spain in 1830 (1831, 2 köt.); A purney troughout Ireland (1834, 2 köt.); The Tirol with a glauce at Bavaria (1823, 2 köt.). Nagy sikert aratott The new Gil Blas c. regénye. Utolsó műve: Rambles in the footsteps of don Quixote (1837).
